Services

We provide individualized speech and language therapy for children ages 1 to 17 years in a supportive, engaging, and enriching manner.

Parent/Caregiver coaching is provided to empower parents to handle challenging behaviors and teach new skills.

  • Speech sessions are 30 minutes.

  • Parent/Caregiver sessions are 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Sometimes children have difficulty producing certain sounds or sound patterns. Articulation therapy identifies and addresses

    • We use evidenced based techniques to help children produce clear speech.

  • Children may have difficulty expressing themselves in a functional way. Expressive language is the ability to communicate messages through spoken language, gestures, written or alternative communication methods.

    Children may have trouble understanding the meaning of language. Receptive Language is the ability to comprehend and process language.

    • We use various therapy techniques to help children develop and grow in both areas.

  • Stuttering is when the normal flow of speech is broken up. It may involve repetition of sounds or words, prolongations (holding out of a sound) or interruption in sounds (no sound produced).

    • Using researched methods, we guide children to produce more smooth and confident speech.

  • Social communication is an individuals ability to use verbal and nonverbal communication within social settings.

    • We help children by providing the tools for making friends, understanding social cues, and engaging in conversations.

  • Parent/Caregiver education empowers parents and caregivers with information, strategies and tools to support their child’s communication and behaviors at home. We discuss your concerns, create attainable goals and work towards them in ways that works for your family.

  • Signs include difficulty with pronunciation (articulation), stuttering (fluency), difficulty understanding or using language, or a hoarse voice. A professional evaluation is recommended to determine if services are needed

  • Sessions typically last 30 minutes, often occurring once or twice per week, depending on the severity of the issue. We will work together to schedule an appointment that works best for you.

  • Yes, parents are often encouraged to participate, especially in pediatric cases, to learn techniques for home practice. 

  • The duration varies based on the individual's needs, severity of the issue, and consistent home practice. Your therapist will provide a recommended timeframe after evaluation. 

  • We accept Blue Care Network and Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurances.

    We also offer private pay services along with a superbill for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
